Bruxism and jaw slimming injections
Often people clench or grind their teeth during the night and this can result in pain and hypertrophy (enlargement) of the muscles at the side of the jaw. Botulinum toxin can be injected into these muscles to temporarily relax them and provide relief from the discomfort of bruxism. This can also result in a slimming effect of the jaw if the muscle is hypertrophic. This must only be done after full dental examination to investigate the cause of bruxism.
Dermal fillers
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are a safe and effective way to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. They can also be used to plump up areas of lost volume due to ageing of the face such as the mid face. Dermal fillers can also be used to reshape the nose, chin, jawline; and add definition, hydration and volume to the lips.
Skin boosters/biorevitalisation
Skin boosters such as Neofound (formerly Profound) and Redensity One, contain pure uncrosslinked hyaluronic acid along with amino acids and antioxidants. When injected under the skin over a course of 2-4 treatments the skin will remodel as collagen and elastin production is increased and skin is deeply hydrated from within. This will create a more luminous, even tone and improved texture with softening of fine lines.
Dermal filler correction
Sometimes with repeated treatment, incorrect placement, choice of dermal filler or due to patients anatomy; dermal filler can migrate to areas distant to the desired injection site and appear unsightly. Hyaluronidase is a natural enzyme which breaks down hyaluronic acid and dissolves the unwanted filler. This can be done to correct any lumps/bumps or for migrated filler.
